Essex Toastmasters Celebrates 60th Anniversary!

Essex Toastmasters Club Celebrates 60th Anniversary on January 11th, 2018 at 7pm at the Bloomfield Civic Center

Essex Toastmasters, a local chapter of Toastmasters International, is excited to announce it’s 60th Anniversary Celebration on Monday, January 11th from 7-9pm. The event will be held at the Bloomfield Civic Center-Room 1, 84 Broad Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003. Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia will kick off the festivities and, in addition to Mayor Venezia's opening remarks, former club presidents and members will recognize the club’s past awards, reputation within the District, challenges faced, and growth along the way, while toasting to the future of the next 60 years.

Essex County residents from near and far are cordially invited to attend this 60th Anniversary Celebration and explore the benefits of joining the world's largest public speaking organization. Members are inspired to work on overcoming the fear of public speaking while strengthening listening, team-playing and leadership skills that aid their professional and personal success. Whether you're an executive or a stay-at-home parent, a college student or a retiree, you will improve your ability to express yourself in a variety of situations. Current Essex Toastmasters President, Oscar Marin proudly states “Our club truly fosters a positive and encouraging atmosphere where individuals are provided with the opportunity to develop critical communication skills and become part of a supportive and diverse membership group”.

This 60th Anniversary Celebration will provide a forum to honor Essex Toastmasters’ history, hear compelling speeches and gain exposure to the Essex Toastmasters club. It will also be an opportunity for networking with fellow area residents who share similar goals and interests. This event is free of charge. Light refreshments will be served. The club meets every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7pm and guests are always welcome and encouraged.
